If you have read my previous posts you know that I’m feeling this year. I’ve found harmony and I haven’t been sure as to why. Why right now? During my morning workout I started reflecting and I realized two things about finding peace of mind.

1. Let go of people’s expectations and find your own rhythm. Don’t stress. Take your time.

2. Stop waiting around for other people to come around. They might never do.
In other words , do you and do it well.

Keep moving people!

Valentine’s day is here, yet again. I’m one of those people who think that love should be celebrated every day of the year but then again, it’s hard to ignore the the message that is sent out from every corner of the city. Hearts everywhere in all shapes and forms, love is all around. Trying to ignore this day wouldn’t work and why even try? I find it a perfect excuse to eat chocolate and spend some time with loved-ones.

I think it’s also the perfect day to give yourself some extra love. Everyone are so hung-up on finding the perfect mate and forget that the only one you can be sure to have by your side for the rest of your life – is you. So take this “you” and WORK IT!

R.I.P Whitney Houston

I was 7 years old when I got my first Whitney CD. My mum had just bought a CD-player and so I got to choose one CD that I could play on it. Of course I bought The Bodyguard soundtrack. I thought she looked so beautiful and mysterious on the cover. That is where my obsession started. I would sit for hours and draw pictures of her, having the first six songs on the album on repeat (those are the one’s where she is singing). When we in 2nd or 3rd grade organized a talent show in school (it was just for fun and everyone were lip-syncing) I just had to be Whitney and the song I chose, I Will Always Love You. Not too hard to sing when you actually don’t have to sing and I even managed to get my mouth to shake a little, just the way Whitney does it.

Even though Whitney has been through a lot these past few years it still came as a shock when I saw the news this morning. I really hope that she will be remembered for the amazing singer she once were, at least that’s how I choose to remember her. Her voice was one of a kind and I doubt there will ever be anyone that possesses the strength and vulnerability that I think was so characteristic for her voice.

Rest in peace Whitney Houston.

Yeah I know. Where a month in but I felt like sharing my view on this year. Some people think that this year is our final year, that everything will be over on the 21th of December. If that’s the case then so be it but I prefer to turn to Chinese astrology on this one. This is the year of the Dragon and it will bring promise and change. That’s what we need, that’s what I choose to believe and that’s what I feel when I communicate with the universe.

Do you ever listen to the silence? It speaks, whispers if so will. I did a lot of listening while I was in Tanzania this Christmas. The ocean, the sand, the black skye and shining stars. It was just us and we were communicating. Soul to soul. Now you probably think I’ve lost my mind. But no, it’s not lost, it’s very focused.

2012 is about listening. Communicating. Taking things lightly and not being to hard on yourself and others. I have a lot of things I wanna do in life but I feel no stress. Everything has a time and a place and that is all right. Positivity is flowing.

I’m studying physics right now (not because I wanna understand the universe but because I might need it further on) and we’ve just been talking about waves. There is this phenomenon called interference, this is when two waves superimpose to form a resultant wave of greater or lower amplitude. So let’s say life is wave 1 and I am wave 2.

I am now in phase with life – constructive interference.

Life and I enhance each other, strengthen each other, elevate and reinforce each other. An amazing feeling that I pray will stay with me.

So if these waves demonstrate what make your heart beat, I’d rather be on the constructive side than the destructive side. We all have a choice. Stay positive and have a good weekend!

It’s amazing what you can accomplish with a little help from you friends. For the last two years I’ve had loads of clothes, bags and shoes taking up space in my basement. Last year I planned on giving it to charity but then life happened and the stuff remained untouched. What a waste! So yesterday my friend helped me out and we went through every single bag and box, deciding what to keep and what to give away.

I have to say I’m very proud of myself. I have a very hard time throwing things away but I guess, knowing it was going to be used by someone who needs it more than I do, made it easier. I only kept one box, ONE! Such a relief! The rest, 5 bags, was picked up by Erikshjälpen today. Crossing my fingers they will take good care of it and make sure it ends up in the hands of those who need it.

That I was able to fill 5 bags is ridiculous. There are people out there with nothing. NOTHING. I urge all of you to look through you wardrobe/basement/attic. All the clothes and shoes you don’t use, or have grown out of, can be used by someone else. There are a lot of organizations that would gladly accept you donations.

JUST DO IT.

Expenses…

…but isn’t that what Christmas is all about? I seriously just want to scream at the fridge right now! But at the same time I’m scared it will get pissed and completely break down. For now it’s working, I can hear it breathing but at any time it might stop… That’s what happened yesterday and again this morning. WHY?

You’re still young, you should have another 10 years at least!

On that note, I’m going shopping!

Love.Actually.

Sunday night and I’m chilling on the couch with my favorite, watching Love Actually as the rain keeps pouring down. Whatever happened to snow?

Anyway, I love this movie, it’s standard to watch it sometime during christmas… and I think I have, for the last three years at least. Such a sweet, feel good flick! One of the best parts is when Lynden David Hall sings All You Need Is Love. Not because his version is all that impressive but because he is and I seem to forget. Then I watch this movie and I get reminded. Sexy Cinderella…. Do I Qualify? Maaaan, why is he not still here?

RIP Lynden.
