Last year I was on a plane to Tanzania, I can’t believe the year has gone by so fast! What happened?
Well, this year I’m celebrating with friends, family and extended family. I got a head start yesterday, spending the day with my god-daughter and her family. It was perfect!
Now I can’t wait for all the good food, good company – GOOD TIMES! It’s gonna be a lovely day
So before I get started wrapping the final gifts let me just wish you a Merry Christmas!

About two weeks ago I went to see Brian McKnight perform at Berns. I’m so glad I didn’t miss out on that concert since I tend to miss out on a lot of concert for some reason (Robyn for example!!!). Usually I leave a concert filled with inspiration and this was no exception. Brian McKnight can sing.. no no, he can saaang! Damn! He was tight and he delivered, definitely one of the best vocalists I’ve seen live. Seems like it runs in the family too since he brought his two sons, BJ and Niko, and well, they certainly didn’t disappoint. The brothers call themselves The McKnights and with voices like their daddy, looking like younger versions of Trey Songz and Lil Wayne, I don’t see how they wouldn’t get far (if they are willing to work for it that is…).
Judge for yourself.

I love listening to the radio while I’m taking a shower, especially in the morning. The music I hear will set the mood for the day, which, most of the time is great! This morning one of my favourite tunes came on, It’s calles Do What’s On Your Mind by Professor P and DJ Akilles feat. Timbuktu. It’s a feel good song with a 90′s-sounding-beat (that I LOVE), just awesomeness!
First time I heard it (surprisingly also while taking a shower) I instantly recognized Timbuktus voice, but the beat and the fact that he was rapping in english made me think it was an old song. Thankfully SR Metropol have their playlists online so after the shower I went and checked it. Turned out it was just released and that the main artist was in fact from my hood – Lund.
I’ve known of Professor P for a long time since Lund is not a very big city. He’s always been very tight with his lyrics and flow but for the last years I haven’t heard any new music from him. Finally he’s back with a new EP called Maintain and it’s sounding really good.
Except for the nostalgic beat, the message is right on point. In the end, who cares about what you didn’t do, it’s what you do that counts. So, DO WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND.

I’M SO EXCITED!
Kingsize Magazine, the biggest hiphop magazine in Scandinavia, just posted an article about me on their website! I feel so blessed right now. I have received a lot of positive feedback on Baby and I’m really eager to get back in to the studio and record more music for you
.
Until then, visit KingsizeMagazine.se and see what they had to say.

…and stand strong.
Last nights election didn’t go the way most of us wanted it to. For some reason, which I don’t understand, 5.7% of the swedish population thought it would be a good idea to vote for a populist right-wing party. I don’t know what to say about that, it is a real shame people don’t know better.
It is a sad day for Sweden indeed but I’m hoping that maybe this will bring people together. The fact is, 94.3% of the swedes didn’t vote for this party and they want them out of the parliament ASAP. So today I joined 10 000 frustrated individuals at Sergels Torg in Stockholm to demonstrate against this party.
WE WANT THEM OUT NOW!

Last week I was asked to performed at an event to raise awareness for the Horn of Africa. Even though it was short notice I really couldn’t turn this opportunity down. I have a lot of friends from Ethiopia and Eritrea and I feel that it is a very important to make people aware of what is going on in those countries.
So, at 6 p.m today I’ll be entering the stage at Kungsträdgården, Stockholm to perform a few songs for anyone and everyone who wants to listen. Other artists that will perform are Eboi, Carlito, Ellen of Sweden, Mohammed Ali etc.
We want peace. United we stand.

About six years ago I was on stage with Lazee performing at a school in Malmö. He did a song called Babyboy and I sang the chorus (very Ja Rule f. Ashanti). The stage was small but we recieved a lot of love. It was nothing like this though… Lazee, NRJ in the Park 2010.
It’s all about following your dream.

After spending three weeks in the U.S. I am now back in Sweden ready (?) for a new chapter in my life. For some reason I feel like coming back from the summer is almost bigger than the start of a new year. Or maybe it’s just that, a new year is a new beginning. Coming back from the summer is about picking up the pieces, staying positive even though you know that it’s only getting darker and colder as the days go by.
Yeah, I’m not overjoyed about being back but it is what it is.
Chapter two: I’m moving back to Stockholm!!! That I am excited about. Bags are (almost) packed and Monki is ready. So, let’s do this. Stockholm, I’m baaaaaaaack!
